HERE presents the world premiere of The Reception, a HERE Resident Artist Production, as part of its 2016-2017 producing season. The Reception will have 10 performances, tonight, June 14, through June 24, at HERE (145 Sixth Avenue, just below Spring Street).

HERE proudly presents the world premiere of The Reception, a HERE Resident Artist Production, as part of its 2016-2017 producing season.  Created by Sean Donovan and Sebastian Calderon Bentin (Donovan & Calderon) in collaboration with the company, and co-directed by Sebastian Calderon Bentin and Sean Donovan, this new dance theater work is performed by Jane Comfort, Leslie Cuyjet, Sean Donovan, Hannah Heller and Ishmael Houston Jones. The Reception will have 10 performances, June 14 - 24, at HERE (145 Sixth Avenue, just below Spring Street).

Adapted by Matt Opatrny and directed/choreographed by Jessica Burr, the eleven-member troupe Blessed Unrest recently opened A Christmas Carol at the New Ohio Theatre. This "theatre for the adventurous" comprised of a diverse ensemble that brings new and bold productions to NY audiences, brings a unique and surprising experience to those expecting a traditional retelling of Dickens' novella. So saying, this is a tasteful yet eclectic and unique experience indeed; Opatrny and Burr prove that they understood the true essence of the original story while also showing that they clearly had a wonderful time bringing their creative vision to life.

Two-time Obie Award-winning The Builders Association brings their technical wizardry to the NYC premiere of ELEMENTS OF OZ, directed by The Builders Association director Marianne Weems and co-created and written by James Gibbs and Moe Angelos. SUNFISH, an American musical by the songwriting team of Michael Cooper and Hyeyoung Kim was awarded the top Jury Honor for Music Theater Production at the Daegu International Musical Festival (DIMF) on July 8, 2013. DIMF is the largest international Musical Theatre Festival in the world. SUNFISH was invited to open the Festival on June 17, 2013, and was one of over fifteen Official Invitational productions from all over the world. It was previously presented at the NAMT Festival, TRU Musical Series, and Disney/ASCAP Workshop with Stephen Schwartz.

On multiple screens and on stage, stirring personal testimonials contrast with a digital vision of our highly automated, mediated global market system, creating a distinctly 21st-century portrait of human struggle in the face of an uncertain financial future.'

Affinity Company Theater and 3-Legged Dog will present the world premiere of Sheila Schwartz's 'SPY GARBO,' directed by Kevin Cunningham, in a multi-media production. This Off Broadway engagement will be performed at 3LD Art & Technology Center, 80 Greenwich Street (just south of Rector). Performances will end April 10.
